The majority of my law practice is dedicated to public agencies, nonprofits and other corporations, and my work focuses on healthcare, employment, governance and social justice issues. I work to develop a deep understanding of clients’ needs, creatively problem-solve and take an efficient, no nonsense approach. It is my steadfast approach to provide advice in a way that resolves matters before they become intractable legal problems.

My journey to working as an attorney was inspired some 20 years ago when I was employed by a local community action agency. There, I had the joy of working to mobilize community action in rural, unincorporated communities through education and service, and served as a primary author of numerous grant applications. I continued my efforts with a local school district, and was part of a team that secured millions in grant funding to establish and manage education, community and social programs. These experiences served to deepen my interest in effectuating equity, social justice and efficient just resolution of disputes.
